Steel Train has had a jam-packed year, including the arrival of their self-titled album this past June. The band completed a massive US tour with Tegan & Sara, appeared at the Coachella and Bamboozle festivals, performed on The Late Show with David Letterman and headlined a highly successful tour of their own. Along with their recent full-length release, Steel Train, the band simultaneously released a digital companion album featuring each of the new album’s twelve tracks reinterpreted, re-imagined and remixed by a star-studded cast of some of contemporary music’s most heralded female artists. Entitled Terrible Thrills Vol. 1, the companion disc includes covers by Scarlett Johansson, Tegan & Sara, Amanda Palmer, Dirty Projectors’ Angel Deradoorian, Holly Miranda and others.
