The NYSFSSAA Basketball Tournament of Champions is an event comprised of representatives from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA), the New York City Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA), and the New York State Association of Independent Schools Athletic Association (AISAA) in Classes AA, A, and B. 

The majority of participating schools qualifying for the tournament are located in the New York City and Long Island areas with the remainder from upstate New York. This is the third year of a three-year bid for the City of Albany to host the tournament. Last year it was held at the SEFCU Arena on the campus of the University at Albany.

Next year the tournament returns to Glens Falls for the first time since 2010 and will be played at the Civic Center in 2017, 2018 and 2019. 

Tickets are $12 per day for general seating or $25 per day for VIP courtside seating, and can be purchased at the box office at the Times Union Center or www.timesunion.com.  The championship schedule, brackets and other tournament information can also be found atwww.nysfederationbasketball.com.

TO REQUEST A MEDIA CREDENTIAL for this event, please email Maggie Zmuda at: maggie.zmuda@timesunioncenter-albany.com. Please provide: media affiliate, working capacity (reporter/photographer/etc.), name, phone number, email.

Media members will be asked to provide a photo ID prior to receiving their credential at the media table during the tournament. This venue requires all media to contact the arena to request a credential and announce their attendance. Requests must be received before noon on Thursday, March 17.
