RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE HOMECOMING GALA

We hope that you can join us on September 15, 2012 at 6pm at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY as we come together to celebrate 30 years of the Ronald McDonald House of Albany. Since our inception in 1982, our Ronald McDonald House of Albany has served over 17,000 families from our region, across the country and around the world.  Each year, over 550 families call the Ronald McDonald House their home away from home while they support their seriously ill child in the hospital.  The Ronald McDonald House of Albany provides more than just a room - meal partners volunteer to provide warm, home cooked meals every night, the community donates items to keep our pantry full, and caring volunteers are on hand to serve the families throughout the day –all with the idea of allowing moms and dads to focus 100% of the energy on their child.  And no family is ever asked to pay to stay at the House, instead, Ronald McDonald House relies on the community to fund the $80 per room night provided that it costs to house our families. 

100% of proceeds from our Homecoming Gala will help fund Ronald McDonald House’s initiative to renovate the property at 141 South Lake Avenue (adjacent to our Ronald McDonald House) in order to add an additional 8-10 bedrooms to our Ronald McDonald House program.  This expansion will eliminate a growing waiting list and serve more families at a time when they need it most.
